| Sonawar wins overall trophy in district Wushu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT

SRINAGAR, July 11: Team from Tehsil Sonawar clinched the overall trophy in the the two-day District Bandipora Wushu Championship, organised by district association at SK Stadium Bandipora, here.
In this competition, about 300 boys and girls from different schools and clubs took part. In the closing function, Commander of 81 Brigade, Brigadier Arun Puri was chief guest, who distributed prizes among the winners of different age groups. Prominent among others present were Colonel, Vinod Negi, general secretary, J&K Wushu Association, Kuldeep Handoo, district secretary, Ghulam Nabi Tantray and Nizamudin.
Speaking to the gathering, chief guest congratulated the Wushu Association for providing the young boys and girls of the district a platform to excel and assured of all possible help for promotion of the game.
Earlier, the runners-up trophy went to tehsil Bandipora while Aragam declared second runners-up.
