| Prem Sweet Shop, Kud fined for weighing less Penalty of Rs 20,000 imposed | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU,JULY 11: A penalty of Rs 20,000 was imposed on Prem Sweet Shop, Kud for allegedly duping customers by weighing less.
Deputy Director Legal Metrology department Vinod Prabakar when contacted informed that a team of enforcement wing was dispatched to Kud following complaints that Prem Sweet Shop weighed the products along with the card board containers thus violated rules of the Weight and Measures Act.
He said during surprised checking it was found that the shopkeeper delivered 150 gram less sweets to a consumer against 1 kilogram at Kud. |
