State Mahila Morcha leaders attend National Executive Meet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, July 11: J&K state BJP Mahila Morcha Members attended 2-day National Executive Committee’s meeting on July 08 & 09, 2011 at Rishi Kesh wherein the participants discussed and submitted their respective reports on Mahila Morcha activities as well various aspects of women related issues. BJP Mahila Morcha National President Smriti Irani while presiding the meeting took detail reports from all the participants hailing from different states of country. State Mahila Morcha President Sakina Bano submitted the report of the morcha activities in detail in the meeting. Mahila Morcha National Executive Member & State Spokesperson Dr. Nirmal Kamal and Morcha General Secretaries Priya Sethi and Rajni Sethi also participated in the meeting. In the inaugural session, BJP’s senior leader Rajnath Singh (MP) highlighted the role played in the past by the women power and also the positive role being played by the women in the country in maintaining the cultural identity, ethos and shaping the country’s destiny. Rajnath Singh inspired the women participants to going the field and solve the women’s problems. At the National Executive Committee meet, the firebrand BJP leader Uma Bharti was the major attraction. Uma Bharti presently engaged in cleansing of Ganga movement desired the women to contribute in the andolan which has become symbol of cleansing of society. Besides, a political resolution consisting of major points: price-rise, black-money, corruption, atrocities against women etc. was passed and another resolution condemning atrocities particularly rape of women in UP was also passed. While highlighting these two resolution women were quite aggressive against UPA government at the centre and Mayawati government in UP where the rape is being priced and compensated by the UP government.
