7/12/2011 12:21:06 AM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, July-11 (JNF):- The 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Vinod
Chatterji Koul today rejected the bail application of Santosh Devi w/o
Krishan Lal Parihar alleged king-pib of Durga Nagar Sex Scam.
In the much publicized Durga Nagar Sex-Scam in which the
Victim is minor girl and according to the Additional Public Prosecutor
KA Qazi that applicant is involved in FLESH-TRADE
and used to procure minor girls from different areas and compelled &
seduce them to prostitution as the such the applicant has committed
serious offence against the society. The applicant is king-pin in the
case and a racket is being operated by the applicant and thus she is
involved in immoral trafficking. The victim is minor as per the
medical report suffered and irreparable loss which cannot be
compensated due to the deeds of the accused.
While rejecting the bail application of Santosh Devi, the court observed
that the applicant accused herself being a lady is not expected to
have pushed such a minor girl for her personal monetary benefits into
such an immoral activity. She has not thought about social status and
future of the orphan who was a minor and was brought by her to Jammu
with the promise of marrying her in a good family. The minor innocent
did not know about the intention of such lady and was unaware about
destiny. Taking the benefit of her tender age (victim) and innocence
without caring about the fact on her social status and future
prospects, the accused has for her lust to earn money ruined the
carrier of minor girl. The offence is not only against the person but
against society at large. The accused-applicant has abetted the
commission of crime and it is accused-applicant who made her the
victim of sexual assault with different persons at different places.
With these observations Court dismissed the bail application. JNF
