Rajouri, July 11, 2011

Notwithstanding the fact that government has passed strict directions to all government and private schools to observe summer vacations, private schools of Rajouri district continues to flout rules whereas Director Education Jammu failed to implement his order in his own area Rajouri.

Sources said that there is strict direction from government to observe summer vacations in all government and private school and Director Education Gulzar Qureshi has assured canceling registration of the schools found open during the vacations, sources said that 80 percent private schools have re-started their operations after some days vacation break.

Sources said that maximum of the private school were seen opened on Monday and when approached, school administrators termed it private coaching. However parents said that theses schools have flout all rules and they are functioning in vacation which is illegal according to government circular.

The situation is more grim in native area of Director education where majority of schools on Rajouri Thanamandi road were seen opened in vacation.

Although education authorities are well aware about the same, they perhaps have closed their eyes due to reason better known to them. Sources said that all though various people have informed the authorities about illegal functioning of these schools, neither their registration was canceled nor any action was initiated against them.

Sources said that there is private school mafia in Rajouri which have allegedly enfore their own rules violating government norms. These schools are functioning without having proper education facilities but authorities are mute on their functioning even though they are aware about the whole issue.
