| To weed out the Britishers from the country the younger generation played a vital role in order get free from the clutches of Britishers. Such a young great personality from Jammu who assisted Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Raj Guru and Chander Shekhar have played a vital role in weeding out the Britishers from the India. Com Dhanvantri” was born on 7th July 1902 in the renowned Kali Jani Mohalla. His father Sh. Durga Dutt had been Doctor in the Army. He studied in Ranbir Higher Secondary School upto 10th class and later on shown keen interest in weeding out the Brtishers from the country and immediately left for Lahore in order to join the freedom fighters. He in disguise came in close contact with the students of Lala Lajpat Rai College Auyurvedic College and joined Hindustan Socialists Army. He got the tips of shooting from Chander Shekhar Azad and got mastery over it. Later on he engaged the printing of lecturer of Freedom fighters and bought the book to the and took over the charge of bringing. He was among the fighters who took the avenge of the death of Lalal Lajpat Rai. Surrenders die with the shot of Dhanvantri”. After the death of Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru, and Sukhdev Dhanvantri took over the complete charge of the Party and completed some important engagement and which includes the blowing of the Train of Viceroy. And in the year 1930 Dhanvantri was arrested at Delhi Chandni Chowk while he Mr. Dhanvantri was on a special mission there. He was sentenced to life imprisonment at Kala Pani with allegation of playing conspiracy of Delhi, Godra Dacoit case, demonstration against the Government and blowing the Train of Viceory. He ( Dhanvantri) raised the voice against the brytality on the prisons and due to fast unto death and hunger strike he was released from the Jail in the year 1946. Later on the call of Sheikh Mohd Abdullah, Dhanvantri landed in Jammu and started his activities in the field of social, political and cultural. In order to popularize the programme regarding Naya Kashmir he played role in rooting out the Landlord regime.
Com Dhanvantri is only soul from Jammu and Kashmir who sacrifices his early young age by bearing the brutality of Britishers and led his countrymen to scot free the Indian from the clutches of Britishers.
The renowed personality, like Sheikh Mohd Abdullah, Ghulam Mohd Sadiq, Girdari Lal Dogra, Moti Ram Baigra, Ram Payara Saraf Krishna Dev Sethi and other who used follow the steps of Dhanvntri. Some difference were developed in between Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru and Sheihk Abdullah in the year 1953 and in order to patch the differences between these two stalwarts Dhanvantri without caring his illness Dhanvantri reached Srinagar and due to his ill health he was sent back o Jammu. And this was perhaps last journey of Mr. Dhanvntri and on 13th July 1953 he (Dhanvantri) breathed his last. Only freedom fighters Com Dhanvantri who sacrificed his whole life in order make his country prosperous. And I have tried my level best to memories some of his best collection and achievements that he has done to weed out the Britishers from India.
