JKHRW pays tributes to Akbar Jahan | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, July 12: The J&K Human Rights Watch (JKHRW) paid tribute to Madr-e-Meherban Begam Akhtar Jahan on her death Anniversary. The state chairman and patron JKHRW B.L.Kapoor said that the services rendered by Madr-e-Meherban Begam Akbar Jahan cannot be forgotten as she had done a lot for the welfare of the people upto her last breathe. Kapoor termed the services rendered by Madr-e-Meherban truly social which included upliftment of downtrodden, prosperity of farmers, timely help to the aggrieved and needy people and taking care of human rights. Kapoor also said that the real tribute is to serve the masses irrespective of caste, colour and creed because, the human beings are kiths to each other and the joys and sorrows are combined to each other. Being human it is the duty of all of us to be helpful to each other and have sympathy so that we may not be slipped/ misled by vested interest people. On this occasion, Kapoor hailed the advice of Farooq Abdullah, the Union Minister and patron National Conference to ministers and MLA’s for keeping in touch with the people so that the grievences/ problems could be solved and the duty towards minister and MLA could be done and the people may not feel helpless/ hapless.
