| 1 killed, 6 hurt in road mishaps | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
samba, July 12: One person was killed after a tractor-trolley fell into a gorge near Nud on the Mansar road here today.
Police said a tractor-trolley skidded off the road near Nud and fell into a gorge, resulting in the death of Surinder Singh, son of Gandarb Singh of Pancheri, Udhampur, who had taken a lift.
The tractor driver, however, escaped unhurt and fled the spot. Police had registered a case against him.
Six persons were wounded after a minibus (JK02J/6559) overturned while trying to overtake another minibus at Ambphalla here.
The injured were admitted to the GMC hospital. They were identified as Sneh Lata, wife of Ramesh Singh of Janipura, Sonu, son of Kartar of Akalpur, Vicky of Janipura, Beli Ram of Bani, Gara Ram of Gajansoo and Mohit Jain, son of Ashok Jain of Sarwal. |
