Maharaja delivered justice within 30 days: Bhim | ‘Democratic Govt could not bring culprits to justice’ | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, July 13 (KNS): Chairman, National Panthers Party, Prof. Bhim Singh, Wednesday said that the democratic Chief Minister could not bring culprits of 2010 killings to justice. Taking parallels, he said that Dogra ruler Mahraja Hari Singh had brought to justice all the guilty men and punished them within 30 days. “True, 22 persons were killed by bullets on 13th July, 1931 during the autocratic Dogra ruler. But Maharaja Hari Singh brought to justice all the guilty men and punished them within 30 days,” he said. “On the other hand 117 innocent and unarmed youth and students were killed by the so-called democratic ruler last year, but none of the guilty has been punished even after one year” he added. The NPP Chief alleged that more than 10,000 people have been killed during the democratic rule. “NC and Congress governments cannot escape their responsibility for this human disaster,” Singh said. He said that the recommendation of Glancy Commission were implemented by the ‘autocratic ruler’ Maharaja Hari Singh within six days. “An elected Parliament called ‘Praja Sabha’ was introduced for genuine and legitimate representation to the people of Ladakh, Kashmir Valley and Jammu province," he said. Singh said that present democratic government could not do what ‘Autocratic Dogra Rulers’ did. “The present democratic government could not even appoint a commission like Micro Glancy Commission in the State to find out the grievances of the people and their children,” he said. The Panthers Party Chief reminded the people of the Valley about the ‘just and impartial behavior of the Dogra rulers’ who ‘always treated their subjects as limbs of their body’. |
