Excise department today destroyed 500 Kgs Lahan and 40 liter illicit liquor and arrested three persons, including a woman, in this connection.
Official sources told News Agency of Kashmir that a team of excise department raided four places, this morning, and recovered illicit liquor and 500 kgs lahan.
The persons, identified as Naraiyan Dass son of Anant Ram resident of Bindi, Gulshan Kumar son of Mahinder Singh resident of Maira and Basant Kour wife of Naseeb Singh of Dangri area of Rajouri were arrested under excise act, while the seized liquor and lahan was destroyed on the spot, sources added. |
