JWAM to go ahead with Janandolan | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, July 13: Dissatisfied with the outcome and no effective constructive decisions taken in the “Jammu district development board meeting” held under the Chief minister Omar Abdullah towards the long pending demands, the Jammu West Assembly Movement has decided to go ahead with the Jan Andolan From 17 July . The decision was taken in the meeting held at Sarwal Colony which was attended by the large number of traders, residents, prominent citizens, heads of various trade unions, mohalla committees, traders, of the Jammu west constituency under the banner of the Jammu west assembly movement. Addressing the meeting Sunil Dimple President Jammu West Assembly Movement alleged the coalition Congress National Conference Govt is totally “Anti Jammu” as no major project is started and discussed in the DDB meeting in spite of hollow assurances and announcements made by the Govt from time to time. He said that no development is taking place in the Jammu city and particularly in the west constituency. He said people of the Jammu city are being deprived of the basic amenities. He alleged in its 30 months old coalition Govt. not even a single commitment, announcement and assurance given by the Govt. has yielded any result on the ground on any of the following demands raised from time to time at the highest form.He said JWAM will start the Janandolan indefinite agitation from 17 July against PDD, PHE, sacristy of drinking water, curtailment of electricity and no development projects taking place in the west constituency , in which thousands of residents of West Constituency will participate from the Sarwal Chowk Jammu. Sunil Dimple alleged the members, MPs, MLAs, MLCs of the DDB and the sitting MP, MLAs and even bureaucrats did not raised the voice and demands of the people of the Jammu.
