Khajuria gets developmental works commenced

Jmmu, July 13: Continuing with his developmental activities in the constituency, Jammu East MLA Ashok Khajuria alongwith district president Rajesh Gupta, got the construction work of land and drain commenced in Ahata Sher Shah falling in Rajinder Bazar area.
This work is to be executed by Jammu Municipal Corporation for which funds to the tune of Rs. 6 lakh have been earmarked.
Ashok Khajuria, while speaking on the occasion, said that the local residents of the area were facing difficulties as the lanes and drains around them were in very bad conditions and it had become very difficult to even walk.
The old built drains too were not serving the purpose.
The people had been demanding for the construction and today with the commencement of work, their long pending demand has been fulfilled.
Khajuria, who was also accompanied by the JMC officials, asked them to complete the work in the shortest time and stressed that there should not be any compromise on the quality and the material used.
He said that if the construction is done as per the laid down guidelines, the life of the constructed things is long and the people are satisfied by the same.
The MLA said that during these days of monsoons, the drains are over flooded and the water even gets in small pools in the lanes which need to be removed at the earliest so that the people are not made to face any health problem. He said that the matter has been taken up with the concerned department repeatedly and in response it has been assured that the JMC will take every effective step to mitigate the sufferings of the people.
Besides JMC officials Roshan Din and Ramesh Koul, president Rajinder Bazar Assocition Atul Rajpal,Muslim Federation Distt. President Talat Niaz Qazi, Karan Singh, Ramesh Sharma, Sunil Dogra, Kuldeep Kandhari, Balraj, Banarsi Angral, Dalip, Subash Gupta, Raju Khajuria, Pardeep Sharma, Hakam Din, Pritam, Anil Dutta, ML Raina and others were present on the occasion.
