| Cop suspended following assault on civilian during naka | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, July 13: A cop was placed under suspension and departmental inquiry against him was ordered following he assaulted a civilian during naka checking at Kunjwani under the jurisdiction of Gangyal police station here at evening hours today.
As per police sources, the cop identified as Abu Islam of IR 11 battalion, who was attached on special duty for Amarnath Yatra, during naka checking gave halt signal to the motorcyclist identified as Daljeet Singh son of Raj Singh of Rashamgarh and hit him behind his head when he failed to apply brake. In the incident Daljeet received head injury and had profound bleeding. He was rushed to the GMC hospital where his treatment was in progress. |
