| CM chairs Unified Headquarters meeting at Jammu | | | Jammu, Nov 27 While chairing the Unified Headquarters meeting here today, Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad has emphasized for upholding high traditions of people-friendly approach by all ranks of security forces by avoiding collateral damage to any civilian or his property in the course of dealing with militancy. Chief Minister complimented all agencies for bringing down the graph of custodial deaths to the negligible level. However, he further advised them to take all precautions for avoiding any human rights violations in any part of the state. He said that militants now stand isolated and hate against them is developing in the minds of the people for their random, savage and inhuman activities. Mr. Azad hoped that the security forces will work hard in establishing better relations with people so that they treat them as their best protectors. Chief Secretary Mr. C. Phunsog, Financial Commissioner Home Mr. B. R. Kundal, Director General of Police Mr. Gopal Sharma, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Anil Goswami, GOC-in-C Northern Command Lt. Gen. Deepak Kapoor, Corps Commanders, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Mr. Pramod Jain, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Mr. Basharat Ahmad and senior officers of police, BSF and CRPF were among those who attended the meeting.
