| J&K farmers facing many hardships, state government not lending any help: Wani | | | Early Times Report
DODA, July 14: Congress Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi Foundation Jammu and Kashmir unit state General Secretary Bashir Ahmed Wani in a meeting has hailed the tour and Panchayat Mahasabha of Congress General Secretary in UP state in favor of poor farmers .
Bashir Ahmed Wani described the tour of the Rahul Gandhi a right step in the right direction and extended whole hearted support to him.
Bashir Ahmed Wani also appealed to Rahul Gandhi also look into the matter of farmers of the Jammu and Kashmir as at many areas the state government has forcibly snatched the paddy lands of the farmers for industrial purpose and for other useless purpose .
Wani also urged upon the Rahul Gandhi to visit state and listen the grievances of the general public and farmers .
Wani criticized the state government for failure on all fronts and said that from the last two years unemployment has increased and development process is also going on snail’s pace .
Wani also demanded from the state government to give powers to elected Sarpanches and Panches so that they could work for the upliftment of the downtrodden masses . Darshan Chand state secretary ,Shokar Ahmed Wani General secretary Ramban distt , Durga Dass vice President ,Mohd Amin Mir Distt President Doda ,Shah Nawaz Bhagwan ,Rashida Malik and other also spoke on the occasion .
