NSF elects advocate M.S. Qureshi as legal advisor | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 14: National Secular Forum (NSF) appointed advocate M.S. Qureshi as legal advisor of National Secular Forum (NSF). His appointment has been made by state President NSF Vikas Sharma in consultation with State Sr. Vice-President Rakesh Chib. M.S. Qureshi is an old NSF activist and was Incharge Poonch District before this appointment. He had been an important functionary of NCC and has actively participated in various students social movements. Addressing the meeting, NSF president Vikas Sharma said that DDE has maximum enrollment in the campus, thousands of students were enrolled from far-flung areas in different UG and PG courses but, unfortunately there was not sufficient number of teachers. Last year, the number of contractual lecturer was 9 but this year the same has been reduced to just 3 which are unjust and unfair. It is highly unfortunate that enrollment of student is increasing day by day whereas, employment opportunity was decreasing. For the last two years, since Dr Kilam has been at the helm of affairs, the number of the teachers has been curtailed. The subject for whom maximum number of students had been enrolled are without teachers whereas, the subject which had least number of students has teachers. NSF vice president Rakesh Chib condemned the MLAs from Jammu region for maintaining criminal silence in Assembly over the injustice to Jammu youth. He reiterated the demand for bifurcation of PSC, that is, one each at Jammu and Kashmir so that genuine candidates could be selected. He demanding immediate appointment of Local Vice-Chancellor of the Central University in Jammu and starting its academic session. Among those who were present on the occasion included Surjit Choudhary, Ravi Choudhary, Rocky Choudhary and Rahul Sharma beside others.
