Stay united, employees urged | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 14: All Jammu and Kashmir and Ladhak Stationary and Office Supplies Employees Association urged the employees to stay united to fight against the discriminatory attitude of the government which has failed to clear the arrears of 6th Pay Commission Report. Associations today held a meeting to discuss the attempts being made by some vested interests to divide the workers at behest of the government and asked the members to support the agenda of the union till their demands are met. Speaking on the occasion, Babu Hussain Malik alleged that deliberate attempts are being made to create differences between the workers so that they don’t get united on the single platform. He further urged the employees to fight for the removal of pay anomalies within their ranks, regularization of the adhoc and contractual employees who have completed seven years in the respective departments and enhancing the retirement age from 58 years to 60 years. Malik warned that if their demands are not met, they would be forced to launch agitation against the discriminatory attitude of the administration. “Government had promised us that 6th Pay Commission Report will be implemented fully in the state but it betrayed the workers at the eleventh hour. In case its release is further delayed we will launch statewide agitation”, Malik warned. Those who attended the meeting include Seva Ram Rathore, Uday Singh Pathania, Veer Koul, S.S Pathania, Gulam Hassan Shergurji, Tanveer Hussain, Jatwant Singh and Muhammad Hussain. |
