Housing board employees hails decision to establish new colonies | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 14: All Jammu and Kashmir Housing Board Employees Association today hailed the recent decision of the board to establish new colonies in Kishtwar, Reasi, Samba and other districts of Kashmir valley. Association held a meeting and extended support to the Managing Director (MD) of the board, Dilip Thusoo for taking such steps which will help in improving the financial health of the organisation. Addressing the meeting state president of the association, Muhammad Farooq said that under the leadership of the MD, working of board has improved a lot which has benefited the employees. He appreciated the efforts of the officials which had led to vacation of land worth crores of rupees at green belt Park which was under encroachers for last more than 25 years. He also appreciated the vacation of the encroached land at Channi Himmat and other places during the past few months. Urging the board management to address the grievances of the employees, secretary general of the association, Suman Sharma said that workers are facing lot of problems which include payments of arrears under 6th Pay Commission and pay anomalies which should be addressed immedtaley keeping in view the rising prices of the essential commodities.
