| Tourism dev adds to state’s economy: Dilawar | | | Srinagar, Nov 27 Minister for Tourism, Horticulture, Irrigation and PHE Mr. Muhammad Dilawar Mir today said that development of tourism infrastructure with modern technological innovations is essential to boost state’s economy. He said the present government has accorded priority to realize the dream of a prosperous and Khushal Jammu & Kashmir. Addressing a large public gathering at Hadipora village in Rafiabad, the Minister said that present government has a comprehensive programme to carry out development activities in every nook & corner of the state and also create a peaceful atmosphere. He said a major road project has been formulated for Bhrampora, Jambarpora Nowpora Kalar via some other villages through NABARD. Besides a Higher Secondary School would be opened in Doabgah area. Likewise opening of one-Degree College at a central place in Rafiabad constituency was also proposed to be constructed in near future. The Minister sanctioned 250 KVA transformer for Parraypora village. Later, the Minister laid foundation of lift water supply scheme worth Rs.158 lakh at Atherpora in Rafiabad constituency which would benefit a population of 3839 souls. During his visit to the constituency, he went round more than twenty villages during the daylong tour. He assured them that all possible steps would be taken to redress their grievances. Responding to the demands put-forth by the locals, the Minister directed the concerned authorities to prepare estimate for construction of footbridge over river Pohru near Seelu village, which on completion will connect the people of Zainageer area with Rafiabad constituency. |
