Committee on creation of new administrative units submits report | CM assures due weightage, timeline rolling | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, July 14 (KNS): The Committee constituted to examine the demands for creation of new administrative units in the State presented its report to Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah here today.
The Committee led by Mushtaq Ahmad Ganai and comprising of Varinder Kumar Gupta, Mumtaz Afzal, Abdul Aziz and S. R. Kapur handed over the two volumes of the report to the Chief Minister at a meeting attended by Minister for Revene, Mr. Raman Bhalla, Advisors to the Chief Minister, Mubarak Gul and Devender Singh Rana, Minister of State for Tourism, Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, B. B. Vyas, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Asgar Samoon, Commissioner Secretary GAD, Mohammad Sayed, Commissioner Secretary Revenue, Kachu Isfandyar Khan and other senior officers.
Appreciating the hard work of the Committee for preparing the report, the Chief Minister said that it will receive due weightage and consideration by the government to address the public demands.
“The amount of hard work you have put in, the tours you conducted and discussions and meetings you held with the people across the State are worth appreciation”, he told the Committee adding that the Revenue Department would make the note of the report for Cabinet discussion and its rolling out would be time lined.
Sharing the experience of the formulation of the report, Mushtaq Ahmad and other members of the Committee said that the report is unanimous and reflects the demands presented by the people along with there commendations of the Committee.
