| MLA Zanskar meets CM | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 14: The MLA Zanskar Feroz Ahmad Khan met with the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at Srinagar and requested him for sanctioning of Industrial Training Institute (ITI) and fire station at Sankoo.
After a patient hearing to the demands of the MLA Zanskar the Chief Minister has agreed and assured to consider the demands on priority basis.
Super specialists from Sher-e- Kashmir Institute of Medical Science Kashmir visited District Hospital Kargil
Some of the famous super specialists belonging to Gastroenterology, Plastic Surgery and Pediatric Surgery from Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Science Kashmir visited District Hospital Kargil and conducted many surgeries with the Surgeon Specialist of District Hospital Kargil.
According to a press release of the Superintendent District Hospital Kargil all the Patients are doing well.
Alfaalfa Weevil called pest destroys crops in Yourbaltak and adjoining areas.
A team of scientist from Krishi Vigyan Kender Kargil today visited Yourbaltak and adjoining areas to diagnose the insect pest, recently spread in Lucern (Bukshuk), the main fodder of the region.
Dr Mohammad Mehdi Programme Cordinator of the KVK Kargil told that Anayat Ali that the team identified the pest as Alfaalfa Weevil which is one of the serious pests for any heavy foliage crop. He said that for immediate prevention from further spread of this pest, it is better to go for harvesting of the crop, because at this stage it cannot be controlled with short residual poison (insecticide), and if strong chemical is used than the fodder cannot be used for feeding animals.
Dr Mehdi in this regard requested the farmers to go for early harvesting. |
