JPPF threatens to go on hunger strike if CU issue not solved

JAMMU, July 14: A meeting of held in the office chamber under the chairmanship of Judge Retd. Paviter Singh in which a strong resentment was expressed by the participants for observing silence over the starting of Jammu Central University and appointment of local Vice Chancellor.

It was decided that JPPF will start regular hunger strike in protest against inaction of the Central government and state government on the issue and Purani Mandi Park will be the venue of the programme.

The various constituents of the JPPF will participate at their own in the hunger strike at earlier.

Retd. Judge. Paviter Singh, convenor, JPPF addressed the meeting and announced the programme. Rajiv Mahajan, Inderjit Khajuria, S. Gajan Singh Khajuria, S. Gajan Singh Akali, S. Balwinder Singh Bhatia, Avinash Bhatia, Amrit Magotra, Rajinder Gupta, Pratap Singh, Uday Chand and Tilak Kashyap were present and addressed the meeting.
