| VKMI demands stern action against officers, defaulters | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 14: In an emergency meeting of the Vichar Kranti Manch International (VKMI) discussed the recent media reports of a major sales tax scam.
In the meet, the VKMI members has appreciated the Sangarsh RTI Movement for unearthing a major scam of sales tax defaulter amounting more than Rs. 600 crores.
Briefing about the meeting, Dr R R Khajuria, Founder of VKMI said that VKMI criticizes the Government and sales tax department for their failure to recover such a huge amount from the defaulters, Khajuria has said that this is the utter negligence of the highest level and VKMI demands a stern action against negligent officers and defaulters as well.
He said that Vichar Kranti Manch International appeals the Chief Minister to frame a high powered panel to recover the default amount at an earliest and also look into the security of the whistle blowers in this case.
