Security forces told to intensify patrolling

Jammu, July 14:- Secuity forces, besides the troops, deployed in Jammu and Kashmir have been directed to step up their patrolling in the sensitive areas of the state following reports that militants may destabilize peace with a view to wrecking the ensuing foreign ministry level talks bet ween India and Pakistan.
Senior functionaries of security and intelligence agencies said that reports indicate that agencies across the LOC were trying to kick up violence so that the upcoming talks between S M Kishna and Hina Rabbani Khar failed to coup with specific CBM on Kashmir.
They said that the Wednesday's serial blasts in Mumbai were aimed at wrecking the ensuing talks between India and Pakistan.
Sources said that these agencies were opposed to any move by New Delhi and Islamabad at evolving CBMs of Kashmir.
It is in this context that the security forces and the troops been told to further upgrade the security grid which could prevent infiltrators from sneaking into Jammu and Kashmir and ensure that militants operating within the state were not allowed to carry out any subversive activities.
Police and CRPF companies have been directed to set up additional nakas in the twin capital cities besides other sensitive areas in the state so that militants were failed to get an opportunity for carrying out IED and grenade attacks.
The security forces have been told to take all possible measures for ensuring that the Amarnath yatris have hassle free yatra and the current tourist traffic to the valley was not hit by the subversive activities of militants.
