| Lady burnt alive by another lady at Chingus | | | Amit Sharma

RAJOURI, July 14: A house has been torched and a lady burnt alive in it in a Chingus village on Jammu Poonch highway after there was reported scuffle between two wives of a villager.
Police sources told Early Times that one wife of Abdul Majeed of Chingus village namely Zareena has reportedly torched his own house on tye intervening night of June 13-14 and burnt alive the second wife of Abdul Majeed namely Zamurad Begum.
Sources said that seeing the flames comes out of the house, nearby residents rushed to the spot for rescue operation however they failed to save the life of Zamurad.
Sources said that in the incident, Zamurad had received serious burn injuries. She was hospitalized in District Hospital Rajouri where her condition deteriorated and she breathed lost.
Police sources said that her dead body has been handed over to the relatives after holding post mortem.
Following the incident police has taken Zareena into custody and started investigation.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Headquarter Mohammad Rashid said that the incident has happened in Purani Bowli area of Chingus and they are ascertaining the whole episode. |
