| Charar-i-Sharief deputation calls of CM | | Expresses gratitude for Degree College | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, July 15 (KNS): A deputation comprising of over 200 people from Charar-i-Sharief called on Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah here to express the gratitude of the people of the area to the Chief Minister for granting a degree college to them.
You have fulfilled our cherished demand and open vistas for the educated youth of the area to pursue higher educational goals”, the deputation told the Chief Minister reposing their full faith in his leadership and in his government.
Speaking on the occasion, Omar Abdullah said that balanced development of all regions and sub-regions in the State is benchmark of his government and every effort would be made to bring the under developed areas at par with development ones. He said that his government would make every endeavour to upgrade public service delivery and improve the infrastructure for basic amenities.
“Your demands on account of construction and upgradation of roads and improvement in power would also be considered actively”, he said adding that he will ask the Director General Police to look into the demand of backward pockets of the area for holding recruitment rally to make on spot recruitment of the local youth.
