BJYM stage protest against Rahul Gandhi’s remarks | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, July 15: Led by their State President Munish Sharma, hundreds of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) activists held massive protest demonstration against the irresponsible utterances of Congress National General Secretary Rahul Gandhi after the Mumbai serial blasts. The party activists were carrying party flags and pla-cards denoucing the Congress party’s failure to take effective steps to curb terrorism which has repeatedly struck the city of Mumbai in the last ten years and continues unabated in Jammu & Kashmir where Congress supported NC government is in power. BJYM activists also tried to torch the effigy of Rahul Gandhi but they were forcibly driven away by the police. Some of the youth activists also received injuries in the scuffle. The BJP high command has condemned the use of force by state police against peaceful protestors of Yuva Morcha. Munish Sharma said that instead of spending too much time in Uttar Pradesh for political considerations, Rahul Gandhi should visit the victims of Mumbai blasts and seek explanation from Maharashtra government which is ruled by his own party. Flaying the double standards of Congress Munish Sharma said that UPA at Centre and NC-Congress government in J&K never lose opportunity to criticize BJP and other opposition ruled state governments but have shown no results in the states ruled by them.
