Rain/thundershowers expected in the next 48 hours in Yatra area : Shrine Board | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, July 15: R. K. Goyal, Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, disclosed that as per the Meteorological Department’s forecast for the next 5 days, the weather is expected to be generally cloudy sky on 16th July, with the possibility of rain/thundershowers, light rains/thundershowers could take place on 17th July, on 18th - 20th July the sky is expected to remain partly cloudy in the Kashmir division. The CEO has yet again advised that all those who intend to visit the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Amarnathji should ascertain the to-date weather conditions in the Yatra area and fully ensure their physical fitness before embarking on the pilgrimage. The details of weather forecast are available on the website (www.amssdelhi.gov.in) of the Indian Meteorological Department. Meanwhile, due to widespread rains in the Yatra area the forward movement of Yatris towards Holy Cave Shrine on both the Chandanwari and Baltal routes could commence around 0930 hrs today. However, the movement of Yatris is reported to have been progressing satisfactorily till today afternoon and no untoward incident has been reported.
