Non-cricketers are office bearers and selectors in JKCA: JYF | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 15: Sandeep Singh Chib, president Jammu Youth Forum (JYF) has taken a strong note of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association’s (JKCA’s) malicious campaign launched against those cricket enthusiasts, who leave no stone unturned in helping the state cricket flourish and create a niche in the cricketing field.
In a press statement issued, the president JYF criticized JKCA for blaming those cricket enthusiasts and organizations, who are fighting for the cause of cricket in the state and said that that instead of blaming themselves, the Jammu based puppets in the hands of Kashmir centric Central Secretariat of JKCA, instead of blaming themselves for their misdeeds are blaming others for their vested interests.
JYF further said that the allegations made by the JKCA that non-cricketers were launching a campaign against JKCA for their vested interests stand hollow as there is a bunch of non-cricketers in JKCA including office bearers as also the selectors. For that matter chairman Aslam Goni, who does not know even ABC of cricket, tops the list of non-cricketers.
While terming the allegations made by JKCA on student forums as ridiculous, JYF members said that the University students have the right to intervene in the affairs of JKCA as Jammu University is the affiliate unit of the association.
The members further said that the politicians like Goni enjoy being in JKCA for gaining political mileage as JKCA provides you the platform to be in limelight and enjoy extensive hype and hoopla. Otherwise, such politicians are least concerned about promoting cricket in the state.
