Children educational tour returns | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, July 15: An educational tour of 38 children from Mahore in Reasi district returned from Gaya, Nalanda and Kolkata today. They were received at the Railway Station amidst large number of media persons. The tour conducted under Operation Sadbhavna by 15 Sector Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of Uniform Force helped these children in understanding the vast heritage and rich culture in other parts of the country. The children brought with them memories of beautiful archeological sites and a message of peace from land of Buddha. For some however, the visit to Army Officers Training Academy in Gaya was more exciting and motivating. After the visit to Academy, Mohammad Ayub, who is studying in class 12th of Government High School Bagga, decided to choose military service as his profession. He vowed to return to the Academy soon to become an officer in the Army. While speaking to media persons, the tour leader Maj Choudhary of 59 Rashtriya Rifles informed that students showed much enthusiasm in Kolkata where they were taken to Victoria Memorial, Grand Vidyasagar Setu and historic Howrah Bridge. They also had a ride in Metro which was the first of its kind in the country.
