| Malhotra meets Union MoS Home | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 16: Senior Youth Congress from Jammu and Kashmir Vikram Malhotra, today called on Union Minister of State for Home Jatinder Singh in New Delhi and apprised him of political, security and law and order situation in the state especially in the wake of ongoing Shri Amaranth Yatra.
Singh, who was inducted in the Union Council of Ministers recently thanked young leader for his valuable inputs and lamented that Jammu and Kashmir was in the special focus of the Union Home Ministry and assured of all possible support to the security agencies in the state.
Lauding the role of army and paramilitary forces in the state, the minister said that they along with state police had done a commendable job in frustrating the nefarious designs of the militants.
He called upon the youth of the state to participate whole heartedly in the economic reconstruction of the state for which the central government had started several schemes with the help of the state government. Malhotra thanked the minister for his assurances of persistent and focused attention to J&K.
