EJAC faction not to support July 18 protest call | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 16: A fraction of J&K Govt Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) has decided not to support the Secretariat Gherao call of JCC on July 18. Addressing media persons here today, Sushil Kumar Soodan, leader of the EJAC said that they are not the party in the July 18 programme of JCC as it was called without the consultation and knowledge of the GEJAC. He appealed all the breathen trade union leaders to shun their narrow ego problems and not fall pray to the government designs. He asked the employees to pool their energy in utilizing their expertise in bringing all on common platform and the GEJAC has no objection to talk to the pro-struggle leaders. Soodan informed that GEJAC has decided to organize emergency session of GEJAC on 21stJuly at Srinagar where the leaders from all the three region would sit and decide future action. He added that in this connection employees leader gafoor Dar is camping in Srinagar. The GEJAC leader however warned the Govt not to test the patience of the employees and release sixth pay commission in two installments, regularization of contractual, adhoc and daily wagers employees, budgetary support to the PSUs employees, removal of pay anomalies of all the cadres especially the clerical cadre, enhancement of retirement age to 60. Among others who were present in the press conference included Jaswant Singh, Satish Sharma, Suresh Sharma, Subhash Verma, P S Chib, Ravi Singh Bhau, Prem Singh Bawa, Sanjay Abrol and others.
