‘Aik Sham Hunar Ki’ comes live at performing art studio | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, July 16: ‘Aik Sham Hunar Ki’- a colorful cultural extravaganza, a concept development of Aaditya Bhanu was the pick of the day today at Performing Art Studio where a fused performance including dance, song and theatrical mosaic was the highlight cherished by a sizeable audience gathered at the venue. To start with a dance rendition of a Dogri folk song by Sakshi Dogra mesmerized the audience that was followed by a soulful performance by a group of children that gathered unprecedented applause. Ayushman Sharma, Tanvi Sharma, Driti Jain, Suruchi Jain, Mehak Sharma were the performers on a dance sequence choreographed by Sumit who also presented a startling dance item that rocked. Dishad Shazi, now a name familiar to Jammu theatrics again came up with a self constructed scintillating story of a person caught in quagmire for being branded as “informer’ who later is subjected to agencies’ and organizations’ torture in which he loses his entire family. Entitled as “Mukhbir” the solo performance scripted by Shazi himself and directed by the young director Aadtiya Bhanu produced a telling effect of a theatrical grandeur. Reetu Manhas, the co-organisor of the entire event was instrumental in synchronizing the show that was very well designed. Anil Kotwal, Mudassir, Tarun Sharma, Tarun Vasson, Sandeep Mehra, and Deepak Jamwal became a strong team of the coordinators who helped in making the show a great event. Vidya Bhushan, renowned TV personality of the state, and the chief guest on the occasion praised the efforts of Aaditya Bhanu and Nav Durga Kala Manch for keeping the tradition of ‘real culture’ alive in the state. He held Shazi in high esteem for his theatrical acumen. Neha Lahotra, famous TV and stage artist of the state, the other chief guest while speaking said that the tiny tots matching to the genius of dance gurus in hip hop combined with folk was a treat to watch. She wished all success to the budding talent of the state. Vikram Sharma, senior journalist and renowned theatre artist and Deepak Prashar, art critic presided as guests of honour.
