Mukhi, Jain holds BJP core group meeting | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, July 16: The newly appointed BJP Prabhari and Seh-Prabhari for J&K Prof. Jagdish Mukhi and Dr. Anil Jain arrived here on Saturday on their 2-day maiden tour of the state after taking over the new charge. Soon after their arrival, the two leaders got closeted with the Party state President Shamsher Singh Manhas and party Core Group Members Dr. Nirmal Singh, National Executive Member, Dr. Jitendra Singh National Executive Member & State Chief Spokesperson, Chander Prakash Ganga State Vice-president, Jugal Kishore Sharma party MLA, Satish Sharma and Sat Sharma State General Secretaries at Circuit House. At the meeting the two central leaders interacted with each of the core group members and took their views on current position of the party and the political scenario in J&K. Later, they also attended a meeting of Sr. leaders, state office bearers, MLAs, Distt. and Morcha presidents at the party hqrs., where they were briefed of the ongoing agitational programmes on the issues of corruption, black money and price rise. Shamsher Singh Manhas, while welcoming the new Prabhari and Seh-Prabhari in the city of temples, said that their guidance will be of immense help to the state unit to achieve new targets and goals. H gave details of the party programmes of next two months, called each of the district presidents to submit a detail about the dates fixed for the forthcoming pogrammes at district level. He said party is going to launch massive district level programmes against corruption between July 25 to August 25 in which party’s central leaders will be arriving for participation. He also informed about the Kamal Sandesh magazine membership drive being undertaken across the state. Prof. Jagdish Mikhi, in his address, said that today he has entered the state without obtaining permit and this moment has refreshened the days of his childhood when the slogan---”Ek desh mein, do nishaan, do pradhaan, do vidhaan, nahin chalengey, nahin chalengey. He said “today I feel proud to be prabhari of a state where Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee sacrificed his life for the cause of the nation”. He said if Delhi is heart of India, Jammu and Kashmir is the crown of our mother India. J&K has a very special and important place in the heart of our every single activist across the country. Politically also, this is a very sensitive state, he said. Prof. Mukhi, while talking about the continuous movement against the prevailing corruption and black money, said that the unprecedented pressure built by the BJP in the Parliament and on roads forced the UPA to take action as a result of which today a number of Cabinet Ministers, MPs and bureaucrats are in jail. In order to reach the maximum population with a motive to expose the UPA, we have chalked out nation wide programmes and in near future these will be undertaken at the mandal levels too, he declared. On the occasion, the new Seh-Prabhari Dr. Anil Jain said that this was his introductory visit to the state. He said his function would be to act as a catalyst to facilitate better functioning of the party unit in the state. He also said that he alongwith prahbari Jagdish Mukhi will try to act as a bridge between the centre and the state party leadership. The challenges facing the party will be jointly overcome, he added. Earlier in the morning after his arrival Prof. Mukhi, who is 6th time MLA in Delhi Assembly, drove straight from Jammu airport to historic Raghunath Mandir to pay obeisence and seek blessings. Dr. Nirmal Singh, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Chander Prakash Ganga, Bali Bhagat, Pawan Gupta, Sofi Yousuf, Som Raj Khajuria, Jugal Kishore(MLA), Satish Sharma, Sat Sharma, Usha Choudhary, Chander Mohan Sharma, Kavinder Gupta, Kuldeep Raj Gupta, Bansi lal Bharti, Lalit Moza, Yudhvir Sethi, Mamta Singh, Shilpi Verma, Purnima Sharma, Rajiv Jasrotia, Harinder Gupta, Ramesh Arora, Dr. Nirmal Kamal, Balbir Ram, Dr. Ali Mohd. Mir, Rajesh Gupta, Sham Choudhary, Sukhnandan Kumar, Kabla Singh, Suraj Padha, Dina Nath Bhagat, Chaggar Singh, Jasbir Singh, Capt. Hukum Chand, Inderjit Sharma, Narinder Singh, Mohan Singh, Munish Sharma, Sakina Bano, Chaman Lal Kanathia, Karan Singh and N.D. Rajwal attended this meeting.
