| Newly wed beaten by husband, hospitalized | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 16: For bringing less dowry, a newly married woman was allegedly beaten by her husband at their residence at Marh near here.
Police sources said Rajni was allegedly locked by her husband Garu Ram in a room of their house at Marh for nearly a week and beaten and torture for bringing less dowry.
He also allegedly threatened her of dire consequences if she approached police, the sources added.
She, however, slipped from the room last night and straightway went to her parents who admitted her to the GMC hospital for the treatment of her injuries.
The concerned police had registered a case in this connection. |
