| Capable MLAs, MLCs should be given cabinet birth: AJKMPJ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, July 17: All J&K Movement for Peace & Justice(AJKMPJ) has sorrowfully observed that the policy of taking ministers out of MLC’s & MLA’s has been one of choosing the financially affluent ones who have earned enormous amounts of black money, have paid generously to their ruling alliance parties and are also expected to do so after induction into ministerial berths. There has been no consideration for their merits like integrity, zest for selfless service, efficiency, intelligence and so on.
Had it not been so, honest and capable MLC’s like Ravinder Sharma, Naresh Kumar Gupta, and Abdul Ghani Vakil would not have been dropped. The general public who are now sufficiently aware, know this well and so have lost faith in the working system of the government.
We strongly appeal to the concerned authorities that henceforward this money consideration should be totally avoided and only capable persons of integrity should be taken as ministers out of the MLC’s & MLA’s. More over defeated MLA’s should be considered as ineligible for MLC ship as they are the public-rejected people and moreover their sole aim remains to cover up the loss of money they have suffered on their election campaign. How can the public expect people friendly attitude from them.
This has been stated by Kuldeep Kumar Rao, one of the active members of the All J&K Movement for Peace & justice.
Rao further urged the Chief Minister and the Congress high command that the development works in District Doda have suffered a lot during the last 9 months since the exit of G.M.Saroori.. As the development in these hilly districts is negligible as compared to that of Jammu, it is imperative for the government that at least one Minister from each of these Districts be taken one of them being R&B minister from District Doda which is biggest among the three in respect of population and comprises of 4Tehsils. Rao appealed the Congress High Command that District Doda is ignored for induction in ministry in the state cabinet and demanded R&B Minister from District Doda, in the interest of justice, equality and fair play with the people of Tehsil Thathri, Tehsil Gandoh and Tehsil Bhadarwah.
