NPSU to intensify agitation against delay in opening of CUJ

Jammu, July 17: Young Panthers and National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) in a press conference highlighted the problems faced by the students of Jammu, especially the female candidates and took serious note of delay in the opening of Central University for Jammu (CUJ).
Addressing the media persons in a press conference at Jammu, Pushvinder Singh Manhas, State Vice-President Young Panthers and incharge NPSU disclosed that the female candidates of Jammu were facing problems regarding the Geology subject as Geology is not available in Women Colleges but available in GGM Scince College and MAM College only where female candidates were not allowed to take admission in these colleges. He said that with the efforts of Young Panthers and NPSU and with the cooperation of Sham Lal Gupta, Director Colleges and Dr. Satinder Singh, Principal GGM Science College who is also the nodal Principal, it was resolved that female candidates, who are desirous of taking Geology subject can now apply for the admission in GGM Science College.
Manhas termed it as a historical decision and said that this will be beneficial for hundreds of female students who wanted to opt Geology subject in their graduation.
Manhas further told media persons that agitation launched YP and NPSU has completed it two phases and now ready to start its 3rd phase and it will be the boycott of the classes of the Degree Colleges of Jammu Province. He disclosed that YP and NPSU will boycott the classes of Colleges of Jammu city, Ramnagar, Samba, Udhampur, Akhnoor, etc. to intensify the agitation for CUJ.
Manhas said that if govt. fails to initiate necessary steps for the start of CUJ even now, then this agitation will intensified, wrath of which the government has to face. He once again warned the government to immediate take necessary steps for the start of CUJ otherwise YP and NPSU will not allow to run the sessions in the colleges of Jammu region until and unless the steps are being initiated for the start of CUJ.
Others who were present during the press conference include Partap Singh Jamwal (Provincial President, NPSU), Rawat Singh, Ishan Choudhary, Javed Iqbal, Anil Rakwal and Aditya Hans.
