| OBC meet held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, July 17: A meeting of other backward classes was held under the presidentship of Suresh Kumar Dogra, Congress leader, OBC promoter & state gen. secy OBC cell, Pradesh Congress-I, in which vice-chairman of the state OBC welfare-advisory Board Kuldeep Raj Verma was the chief guest,.
Addressing the audience Suresh Kumar Dogra said that unity in diversity is our main motto, India is a country, where many religious & many castes are existing.
India is a multi-religious country, inspite of that India is one nation & one country.
But there are many castes which have been renowed backward for their upliftment government has provided them reservation.
But it is unfortunate that being a member of the other- Backward-classes, we are deprived of the reservation in the state, we are getting 2% & other states of the country enjoying 27% Reservation.
Dogra said, after a long-period, the census had been taken place, but that too was not on the basis of castes, it is very sad,
Ravi Manotra, Ramesh Chand, Pawan, Betta Ji, Bodh Raj Verma Ji, Vijay Ji, Vishal Mehra Ji, Raghunandan Ji, Ashwani Ji, Madan Ji were presented in the meeting.
