| Demand for commissioning of milk- chilling plant voiced | | |

VARIOUS organizations including Refugee Welfare and Educational Society and Progressive Youth Front have demanded immediate commissioning of milk chilling plant at Sodhra-Sunderbani set up some six years back.
President of the progressive Youth Front alleged that the plant set up in 2000 has not been commissioned till date for the reasons best known to the authorities. He said the machinery worth several lakhs of rupees have remained non-functional during all these years and urged for it’s commissioning at the earliest.
The Front President sought Chief Minister’s personal intervention in the matter so that the plant is made functional and the farmers saved from the exploitation by the middle- men and dairy industry gets a boost in the area.
