| Lecture oraganised as part of “International year of Chemistry ” | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 17: The Department of Chemistry, University of Jammu, under the aegis of Chemical Society, has already taken an initiative to celebrate the International year of Chemistry – 2011 and is organizing a series of academic events in 2011 related to the recent developments in Chemistry.
In this connection, a popular lecture was delivered by Dr. David A Harkins, from Lockheed Martin Energy Systems, U.S.A.
He delivered his address on the topic “Chemical research: power of combined techniques in analysis methods”. Dr. David is world renowned scientist in the field of chemistry. In his address Dr. David spoke about his ongoing research work in the field of uranium enrichment. He elaborated on the various analytical techniques used for this study.
Professor Meena Sharma, Head of the Department of Chemistry, University of Jammu presided over the event and thanked Dr. David A Harkins for his visit to the Chemistry Department of the University of Jammu. The faculty members, research scholars and students of the University of Jammu attended the event.
