AJKSGRS urges CM to look into the grievances of SC community | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, July 17:All J&K Shri Guru Ravidass Sabha(AJKSGRS) in its Executive Body meeting under the President ship of Piran Ditta unanimously resolved to stress upon State Government headed by Omar Abdullah to look into the grievances of Scheduled Caste community of the state and redress them accordingly at the earliest. Seniority list of all the departments should be prepared as per the roster applicable to the SC Community in state services, Immediate appointment of SC member to PSC, revamping of SC,ST,BC Corporation. Body appealed CM to intervene into the matter personally in order to get the Corporation revamped and revived that the welfare schemes meant for SC,ST, Be's etc may please be extended to the masses in a hassle free manner. In addition to this All J&K Shri Guru Ravidass Sabha has taken serious view of non seriousness of Government as well as the political representatives of Scheduled Caste communities present in the Jammu District Development Board meeting, wherein none of the problems pertaining to Scheduled Caste community of Jammu district were discussed/presented. It is pertinent to mention here that Scheduled caste population of Jammu district almost stands at 30% of the total population of the district. If developmental/welfare measure will not be taken for these communities what will be going to happen with. these communities as well as government can be very well imagined. Therefore~ through this release it is requested to the Chief Minister of the State to kindly look into the grievances of this large Population of the State personally or appoint a senior Minister of the Cabinet to discuss with the Social Organizations~ Religious Organizations as well as Intellectuals of Scheduled caste community and redress their grievances before their patience turns into distress.
