| BJP inaugurates party office at Akhnoor | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 18: Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) inaugurated party’s district office for Akhnoor district at Nagbani here today.
Addressing the media persons, State President BJP Shamsher Singh Manhas said that inaugurating such office will well manage the area for the smooth functioning of the party in the area.
He said that the office at the district level will serve a direct link with the state office besides providing easy access to the party activists and the general public in their nearby area.
He said that the party has also decided to launch massive programmes in all the districts of the country on the issues of corruption, black money and price rise.
Expressing concern over the delay in setting up sanctioned Central University in Jammu, Manhas said that such an approach on part of the State government speaks of its discriminatory policy towards Jammu.
He declared that BJP has always taken the issue of discrimination with Jammu and the issue of Central University and unemployment will also be the on the top agenda of the party.
Manhas said that July 25 to August 25 will be observed as a Month of Mass Awareness and the party will organise public meetings in all the districts which will be addressed by the national leaders. He asked the party activists to devote more time in the coming days so that the party’s scheduled programmes are organised in more effective way.
Other leaders present at the function included Sat Sharma, Usha Choudhary, Balbir Ram, Suraj Padha, Mukesh Sharma, Karan Singh, Chaman Lal Kanathia, Munish Sharma, Omi Khajuria, Rajinder Chib, Sukhdev Sharma, Tirath Ram, Rashpal Singh, Pashori Lal, Yash Pal, Narinder Singh, Gharu Ram and Jagdish.
