| Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform) celebrates Raising Day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Rajouri, July 18: Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform) celebrated its Ninth Raising Day in a simple and austere manner.
The celebration commenced by paying homage to its departed colleagues through a wreath laying ceremony at the “Wall of Remembrance” memorial.
Other events included offering of prayers at its Sarv Dharm Sthal and a Barakhana for its troops.
Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform) was raised on 15 Jul 2002 as part of Rashtriya Rifles to fight the terrorism in the districts of Reasi, Rajouri and Ramban and bring about suitable conditions to facilitate the functioning of the civil administration of the region.
The Force has achieved commendable success and today the entire LeT tanzeem has been eliminated from its area of responsibility.
There is substantial reduction in the strength of HM as well, however its remnants continue to operate in the area.
Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform) has, since its raising, achieved enviable operational success and scaled many heights of achievements and glory along with each passing year. The force continues its relentless pursuit of professionalism and excellence.
The occasion was celebrated with fervor as it truly deserved kindled with Camaraderie and Espirit de Corps.
