Dogra Tigers win opening tie in Night Cup | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 18: Dogra Tigers emerged winners in the opening match of the J&K Secular Night Cricket Cup which was declared open by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu, Dilbag Singh at JDA Parking, Samadhian, here. In the inaugural match, Dogra Tigers XI trounced Advocates XI by seven wickets. Earlier, batting first, Advocates made only 45 runs in 12 overs, which Dogra Tigers chased in just five overs for the loss of three wickets. Earlier, chief guest appreciated the efforts of the organizers in providing the young boys a platform to excel and assured all possible help from the Police. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Anand Jain was guest of honour. Prominent among others present were SP City, J S Johar, former Ranji player, Rajesh Gill, DySP City, Shamsher Singh, SHO Gandhi Nagar, Sajjat Khan and senior citizens of Gujjar Nagar and Christian Colony.
