JAMMU, July 18: A deputation of JKCCLA under the leadership of the President JKCCLA Suresh Sadotra met minister for higher education Abdul Gani Malik wherein the demands of lecturers/ teaching assistants working on academic arrangement in J&K were discussed.
Suresh Sadotra said there is need to frame policy for regularization of lecturers/teaching assistants working on academic arrangement.
The association strongly believes that the recruitment in higher education department and also school education department should be done by way of appointing Lecturers for a period of three years on contract basis and their performance for three years should be the basis for their regularization rather making the judgement after five minutes interviews where generally nears and dears finds the favour in case the department is really interested to improve the quality of education.
The association also demanded basic salary to Lecturers/ Teaching Assistants working on academic arrangement ie. Rs. 21600/-.
