| Anti-encroachment drive in Doda continues | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
DODA, JULY 18- After the successful implementation of anti-encroachment drive on Doda-Dessa road, the District Development Commissioner Doda along with district administration kick started similar drive on Doda – Bharath road from today.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda . A.R Natnoo and Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Division Doda, besides Police Officials and other senior officers of district Administration accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the drive.
The DDC reiterated that all sort of encroachments in the District will be removed and asked the people to cooperate with the administration in the successful implementation of the drive. He said that the widening of roads directly benefit the people as it helps to avoid traffic jams and ensures security of pedestrians and smooth plying of vehicles besides adds to the beauty of the towns .
The DDC also said that similar drive has been started in Bhaderwah Tehsil where about 20 shops encroaching the Court road have been demolished. He said that similar drive will be started soon on Seri Bazar – Jai road Bhaderwah soon and the illegal structures already identified would be demolished.
The DDC expressed gratitude to those who cooperated with the administration and removed their encroachments of their own. The people of the district have hailed the bold steps taken by the administration.
