Victim tells court she was raped, blackmailed by tutor | Kishtwar porn CD case | | Asif Iqbal Naik EARLY TIMES REPORT kishtwar, July 18: In the infamous Kishtwar CD case, the victim today deposed before the munsiff court here that she was repeatedly raped, mentally harassed and blackmailed by her tutor Tariq Qayoom Tak. Tak was arrested in the case and put behind the bars. Originally a resident of Jangalwar, Thathri, he had now shifted to Shakti Nagar locality in the town where he ran a tutorial. In her statement before the court recorded under section 164-A of CrPC, she alleged that she was being raped and mentally harassed by Tak since she was in 10th class. The recording of her statement continued for three hours and would be done further on the next date of hearing. Talking to media, DSP (headquarters, Kishtwar) Abrar Chowdhary said the girl started visiting Tak's coaching institute to attend tution classes when she studied in 10th class. One day, he gave off to other students but did not inform her about it. Quoting her statement, he said when she reached his institute-cum-residence, she was offered tea by his mother. Soon after taking tea, she became unconscious. Tak then bolted the door from inside and raped her, she alleged and added he also videographed her nude. After this incident, the accused raped her several times by threatening to make public her porn CD if she did not maintain physical relations with him, she alleged. He also used to extort money from her by blackmailing her. He was also alleged to have forcibly given her two fake diplomas of non-existent institutes in lieu of huge money. The victim also deposed that the accused had threatened her to get her brother and father implicated in false militancy cases. Tak's mother was also likely to be picked up for questioning to find out what role she had played when the girl was first raped by her son. To get rid of the tutor, the worried parents had fixed her marriage with a youth of Vailoo in Kokernag, Kashmir. The engagement was, however, broken after the accused was alleged to have distributed her porn CDs at Vailoo. On June 24 last, her porn CDs were also circulated by some people in the town here. Police were trying to find out who these people were. Once identified, they would be booked under relevant sections of the law, the DSP said. Meanwhile, Tak was today denied bail by the court. |
