Ailing CM takes rest ahead of Municipal elections | Get well soon | | Early Times Report jammu, July 18: High fever is not a disease in itself. it is only a symptom of some ailment , mostly infection that can be controlled (if not cured fully) by a single dose of anti-biotic. Normally, people with high fever resume their normal work after taking rest and medicines. But when the ailing persons happens to be the Chief Minister of Jammu Kashmir, no risk can be taken. He has to take rest but how long. With municipal elections round the corner, Omar has to `get well soon'. It seems all the hard work put in by the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in the recent weeks have taken a toll on his health. Omar has been putting in hectic efforts to keep the state running. He has to make adjustments here and there to attend official functions and public meetings. The meetings with newly elected Panches and Sarpanches have only added to his fatigue. According to informed sources, the meetings with Panches and sarpanches have been taxing Chief Minister's patience so much so that he gets a sick feeling on the very mention of such meetings. But Omar has limited options. With Municipal elections round the corner, Omar cannot afford the luxury of taking rest for long. The coming days are going to be very hectic for the Chief Minister because Srinagar is to National Conference what South Kashmir is to PDP now. So now is the time when Omar has to rejuvenate his energy. Omar fully understands the importance of the coming days. He has abandoned his Blackberry and left his admirers high and dry on Twitter. Omar has not tweeted for the past three days A newspaper while commenting on his absence on twitter said he had run short of ideas and had nothing to share on the social networking website. But it seems Omar is trying to rejuvenate his energy well in time to get ready for the Municipal elections which he cannot afford to lose. Omar's spokesman informed the public this morning that the Chief Minister was indisposed as he was running high fever. "All his engagements for the day stand cancelled", he said. The Chief Minister, the spokesman said, is taking bed rest and has not attended his official work today. |
