NPSU agitation enters 17th day

Jammu, July 18: Agitation launched by Young Panthers and National Panthers Students’ Union (NPSU) today entered 17th day as they held massive protest demonstrations at Government Degree College, Ramnagar, GGM Science College, SP Colege of Commerce, GDC Paloura, Canal Road, Jammu, GDC Akhnoor and GDC Samba.
Earlier in the morning, acting on the call given for colleges boycott by YP and NPSU, leaders of YP and NPSU today boycotted the colleges at different places.
GDC Ramnagar was boycotted under the leadership of Arun Dev Singh (Tehsil President NPSU) and Amardeep Singh (Youth Block President) while a massive protest demonstration outside the college.
Addressing the gathering at Ramnagar, Arun said that the Ramnagar units of YP and NPSU will fully cooperate and follow all the programs given by Party high command.
He said that activists of YP and NPSU will leave no stone unturned to get their genuine demands fulfilled.
Sunil Singh, Akash Kharka, Vinod Sharma, Sunil Sharma also participated in the protest demonstration at Ramnagar.
On the other hand, GGM Science College was boycotted under the leadership of Sahil Choudhary and Ashutosh Sharma.
They while addressing the students said that the time has come to get united and fight for their rights. He said that already two sessions have been completed in the other CUs, which were announced with the CU of Jammu but in Jammu no initiative has been taken till date.
SP College for Commerce was boycotted under the leadership of Lovekesh Gondi and Ishan Choudhary.
They pledged to fight tooth and nail for their right and are ready to go to any extent to get their demands fulfilled.
On the occasion, Partap Singh Jamwal (Provincial President NPSU) said that the students of Jammu are now in a mood to fight a final battle with government for its step motherly treatment with the Jammu region.
He said that YP and NPSU will intensify this agitation for CUJ if government does not take necessary steps in the direction of the opening of the CUJ.
Others who participated in the protests include Ashraf, Jyoti Choudhary, Koushal, Shiv and Tushar.
