Jammu historical temples not given importance | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, July 19: Shri Ram Sena has expressed concern over the historical temples at Sudhmahadev, Mantalai and Gori Kund in district Udhampur comimg under Dharmarth Trust being not given importance and the awareness to the pilgrims all over the country. Rajiv Mahajan, State President of Shri Ram Sena said lacs of pilgrims come every year, to have their pilgrimage at pahalgam the holy place of Baba Amarnath Ji where the natural ice lingam of Lord Shiva exists. He said that these pilgrims while on their way by road from Jammu to Srinagar could easily visit these holy historical temples at Sudhmahadev, Mantalai and Gori Kund in district Udhampur, where Lord Shiva’s original Trishul exist in Sudhmahadev and where Goddess Parvati Ji used to take her bath at Gori Kund and Shiv Parvati who were Married at this holy place at Mantalai. Mahajan said that the Government of Jammu and Kashmir especially the tourism department could have played their great role to give the awareness of these holy historical temples to the people of India even the Indians living abroad, so that many pilgrims and tourist could have taken advantage to see the natural beauty of these areas and know about the original places of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. He said that the Dharmarth Trust of J&K have not made any efforts to give the awareness of these holy historical temples to the people of India and Indians living abroad. So, he feels that these historical temples should be handed over the Dharmarth Trust to the Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine Board or Amarnath Ji Shrine Board.
